If there was ever a book a manager needed to read it was this (alongside my other ‘Top Ten Books’, of course!).
Nancy Kline has reached a fine vein of detail with interpersonal relationships.
Simply put, if you give space to your people, they will astound you with their capabilities; possibilities and performance.
In the main, managers reckon that the more stuff they share, the better will be the response. This book investigates the converse.
Give them what they need and then give them the time to consider and share.
In essence, it says say your bit (and make it a small one) and then shut-up!
You will be pleased that you did, with the successful individuals it allows to develop.
One of my ‘Top Ten Books’
